Ready, Set, Blog!

Hi there and welcome to our blog here at NBPC. We have named it #nbpceducation as the idea is to learn, grow and teach a little more every post. Make sure to follow our social media accounts to know when new blog posts come out.
This blog is written for parents, coaches and athletes covering a range of topics. Some posts will provide our view on coaching athletic events, some on improving performance, and others will explore the various relationships between self, sport and life.
Why write a blog?
For starters, it challenges me to share my knowledge and experiences in a different way. My passion (and personal purpose in life) is “helping people grow”. Therefore, using this written format along with more videos and face-to-face coaching I will be able to reach more people and have a greater impact. This blog will become a tool for sharing more extensive explanations and my perspective on junior athletic development with the NBPC family and the world.
Secondly, I want #nbpceducation to be a place where we (the greater NBPC family) can share our thoughts and experiences on life and its connections to sport. The opportunity for people to use physical activity as an outlet to express themselves is something I truly love. Sport was an incredible tool I used as a child and teenager during some tough times growing up.
Growing our sporting community around a culture of family and friendship is very important to me.
What I mean is we need to constantly remind ourselves that working within the realm of sports means interacting with humans first and for most.
Humans… being athletes.
If we focus on helping each other be a little better every day, then we can have a huge impact on the world as well as our athletes’ sporting performance. A motto the New Zealand All Blacks use is “Better People Make Better All Blacks”. I’m a Wallabies fan, but you can’t argue with this logic considering their consistent behaviour and performance both on and off the field.
This is my aim for where #nbpceducation will go. Athletic education and performance enhancement along with delving deeper into the humans being athletes within our care.
Your time is valuable, and I want these posts to be of value to you. Please leave us comments, feedback and requests on what you want to hear more of. We’d also love for you to share any posts you enjoyed and feel would help others.
Thanks for reading and see you in the next post!
Nick Bennett
